Kanto League Gym Leaders

I love Pokemon so much D: D: The follow-up to this deviation is the Johto League Gym Leaders

This is the eight Kanto gym leaders with their new designs from Heart Gold and Soul Silver. It was really fun working on these, although I was really conflicted sometimes about which Pokemon to feature for each of the gym leaders since some of them have really awesome ones!! Like Blue/Green/Gary--you see him with Arcanine a lot, especially in the anime, but Tyranitar is at a higher level in his rematch battle, and Blaine already has a fire Pokemon Granted Brock has his rock Pokemon, but I guess I thought that Tyranitar wasn't as obviously rock as Arcanine was fire?? Augh! Now I'm feeling torn again!! Whatever, Tyranitar's cool ... (but so's Arcanine auuggh!!)

I was also conflicted about Sabrina because I actually liked her old outfit better, but I guess ultimately I wanted to keep it more consistent?

I noticed that after drawing the Pokemon in this picture I think I felt ten times more love towards them D:
