The title image of Section 2.7 of Directions of Destiny featuring Zephaniah Zandell. (No, I'm not anywhere near Section 2.7 yet D8) This is an illustration i had planned to do as a pair with this illustration of Azalea from the time I first drew it, but it took me a year to finally get around to doing it!

I wanted this to really echo the Azalea picture, but at the same time have its own unique qualities, so I actually just took a piece of tracing paper over the original and changed certain elements. ...Yes, I'm a cheater. D:

The good news is that everything about this picture took much less time than the Azalea one did cause I actually knew what I was doing! YAY! :D

I'm reading my blurb for the Queen Azalea one right now and I got to the part where I was whining about Photoshop not really docking its palettes properly at the side of the screen like PSP, but now with CS3 and up it actually DOES do that so I've been a very happy camper 8DDD

Medium: Microns, .5mm 2H Blue Lead in Mechanical Pencil, Photoshop CS4

I just noticed the spade above him and the heart above her. Is that what they're supposed to be or are they just the opposites of each other?

Both sorta ha ha, but yeah, mostly I was going for Spade vs. Heart :B

I also noticed the masks are being held on opposite sides. Great job with the double pictures.

Ha ha thanks! I had a lot of fun with these two, especially after they were done and comparing them side-by-side ha ha ;D

Wow, extremely beautiful. I can smell the soil with this earthy theme.

I like how dark this one is compared to Azalea's light. I also like how it looks so tattered and run-down. Well done!

Oh, this is lovely! I love the similarities - and I like the dark/light spade/heart theme you have going with the two of them.
